Steak with Salad
Ingredients:
- Beef steak (ribeye, sirloin, or filet)
- Mixed greens
- Cherry tomatoes
- Red onion, thinly sliced
- Cucumber
- Olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
- Butter
- Fresh herbs (e.g. thyme, rosemary)
Instructions:
1. Let steak come to room temperature
2. Season steak generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
3. Heat a pan or grill to high heat
4. Cook steak to desired doneness (3-4 min per side for medium-rare)
5. Let steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice
6. Prepare salad with greens, tomatoes, onion, and cucumber
7. Dress salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar
8. Serve sliced steak over salad
